Sadyr Japarov: China is one of the most important partners of Kyrgyzstan
On the eve of his first state visit to China, the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov gave an interview to the largest Chinese official People’s Daily newspaper. Spokesman for the President Erbol Sultanbaev announced.
In the interview, the President emphasized that the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kyrgyzstan and China in 1992 opened a new page in bilateral relations. For 31 years, the countries have established good neighborly and friendly relations based on equality, mutual respect and mutual trust. The border issue has been completely resolved on the basis of mutual understanding and compromise.
The state border does not separate our countries and peoples, but brings us closer.

«Cooperation between the two countries in the political, military, economic, humanitarian and other fields, as well as in the field of security, has achieved fruitful results. Kyrgyzstan and China always firmly support each other in the international arena in matters relating to each other’s fundamental interests. There are no contradictions or unresolved issues between the countries to date. Close contacts and exchanges, productive interaction, and stable development of cooperation have been established at all levels. China is one of the most important partners of Kyrgyzstan. Mutual understanding, friendship and cooperation are very valuable, and Kyrgyzstan is ready to make efforts to further deepen cooperation,» the head of state emphasized.
He told that last year he maintained fruitful contacts with the Chinese President Xi Jinping both online and offline. After all, establishment of strategic partnership at a high level between Kyrgyzstan and China is largely connected with it.
«Chairman Xi Jinping’s experience in running the country reminds me of the wisdom of Chinese Confucianism. It is a great honor for me to be friends with him. I look forward to attending the China — Central Asia Summit and meeting with Xi Jinping again,» Sadyr Japarov said.
