Plant for production of electric vehicles planned to be built in Kyrgyzstan
The Ministry of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan and Eurasia Industry (Liaoning) company signed a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation. Press service of the ministry reported.
The document provides for mutual interest in studying the possibility of building a plant for assembly of cars using new energy sources (electric vehicles) in Kyrgyzstan. The project includes creation of an appropriate infrastructure for servicing electric vehicles in the country with service centers for electric vehicles, charging stations and stations for replacing batteries for electric vehicles.
As part of the memorandum, Eurasia Industry (Liaoning) plans to invest $150 million in the construction of an electric vehicle assembly plant in Bishkek. This will create 500 new jobs. The planned production capacity will be 5,000 electric vehicles per year.
