Freedom of speech, protection of human rights are our top priority - President
One of the important aspects of the Constitution is the protection, preservation and improvement of national culture and languages. The President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov said, speaking at a solemn event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Basic Law of the Kyrgyz Republic.
According to the President, in order for future generations to be proud of the height of culture and the depth of history, we must preserve and pass on our rich cultural heritage, our glorious history, the value of our ancestors.
«I would like to call on every citizen of Kyrgyzstan to be aware of their civic responsibility and actively participate in the life of the state,» Sadyr Japarov said.
In his opinion, only then will we be able to contribute to development of the Kyrgyz Republic and achieve success. This means that the future of the country depends on each of us.
The President also stated that «freedom of speech and the protection of human rights are our top priority.»
«Such principles as not acting contrary to the interests of the state, not spreading false information, not slandering anyone, not harming anyone’s reputation must be respected,» he added.
The head of state expressed gratitude to international partners and friendly countries «which support country’s efforts to strengthen democracy, the rule of law and ensure economic development.»
«Being an active participant of the international community, Kyrgyzstan always strives to fulfill its international obligations. We look forward to working with you to solve common problems and create favorable conditions for international cooperation,» the President said.
