Two parliamentary factions propose to dismiss Edil Baisalov
Ata Zhurt Kyrgyzstan faction and Mekenchil deputy group of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan called for dismissal of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Edil Baisalov.
Deputies listened to information about grant funds allocated to Kyrgyzstan by the Global Fund to Fight HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. They were not happy that money was allocated to LGBT people when distributing a grant.
Edil Baisalov said that he did not control this area and did not know how the $29 million grant from the Global Fund would be distributed.
He promised the deputies to liquidate the committee to combat HIV/AIDS. But the deputies decided to propose to the president the dismissal of the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers.
