Construction of China–Kyrgyzstan–Uzbekistan railway: Feasibility study is ready
Financial model of China — Kyrgyzstan — Uzbekistan railway project will be approved during the visit of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic to Beijing on May 17-19. Akylbek Japarov, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, announced at a joint meeting of Ata Zhurt Kyrgyzstan parliamentary faction and Mekenchil deputy group.
According to him, the feasibility study of the project is ready, adaptation work is underway.
«As you know, there will be a narrow railway to Kazarman, then a wide one, it will be connected to the Uzbek section of the railway. The cost of the project is estimated at $3-5 billion. 57 tunnels will be built on the territory of Kyrgyzstan alone,» the official said.
