«When it comes to the development of relations between our countries, of course, this is largely thanks to the presidents: their constant communication, meetings, agreements, which are already being implemented in parliaments,» Vyacheslav Volodin said.

He stressed that «everything must be done to ensure that the parliamentary dimension benefits our countries and peoples.» He urged to look for new formats of interaction. In addition, according to Vyacheslav Volodin, it is important to develop interaction at the level of relevant committees.

«Development of relations between legislative bodies is one of the effective ways to promote both bilateral and multilateral cooperation,» Nurlanbek Shakiev said in turn.

He added that Kyrgyzstan is open to Russian business and investment. Nurlanbek Shakiev told about the importance of tourism development.

Viycheslav Volodin stressed the importance of preserving and protecting the common historical memory. «Only the people who live in an independent, sovereign state can have future,» he said.

Russia proposes to establish an exchange of experience in the field of legislative regulation of countering foreign interference, Vyacheslav Volodin noted. According to him, Russia has adopted effective laws in this area. This is, in particular, the law on foreign agents.

Volodin touched on this topic, noting that «foreign NGOs funded by the West are now trying to erode sovereignty and statehood in different countries of the world.» He recommended to adopt the experience of Russia.

Recall, the deputies of the sixth convocation rejected the bill on foreign agents. But in February 2022, MP Nadira Narmatova raised the issue again and proposed to adopt the document. Regulations of the seventh convocation have no provision prohibiting to return in the third reading to bills that have not been adopted before.

In November 2022, Nadira Narmatova submitted a package of amendments to laws for discussion and proposed introducing the concept of «a foreign representative». The document was copied from the similar Russian document.
