Monument to Kurmanjan Datka unveiled in Osh
A monument to Kurmanjan Datka was unveiled in Orke village of Japalak territorial administration of villages. Press service of the Osh City Hall reported.
The monument was erected on the initiative of the deputy of the Osh City Council Beksultan Usonov and the local population.
Deputies of the Osh City Council headed by its Chairman Salman Nazylbekov participated in the opening of the monument, Deputy Mayor Nurbek Kadyrov and local residents also attended the ceremony.
According to official data, Kurmanjan Mamatbai kyzy (Kurmanjan Datka) was born in Orke (Orok) village of the Japalak territorial administration of villages of Osh city.
