Music and Drama Theater named after Babur opened in Osh city after renovation
The solemn opening ceremony of the Osh State Academic Music and Drama Theater named after Babur took place in Osh city. Press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.
The ceremony was attended by a delegation from Uzbekistan headed by the Minister of Culture and Tourism Ozodbek Nazarbekov and Secretary General of TURKSOY International Organization Sultan Raev.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Edil Baisalov noted that the decision to reconstruct the theater was made following the visit of the President Sadyr Japarov to Uzbekistan in 2021.
Reconstruction began on September 5, 2021. The Government of Uzbekistan allocated a total of $5 million for the project.
