Road accident on Bishkek - Manas airport road: One child is in coma
One of the children injured in the road accident on Bishkek — Manas airport road is still in a coma. Chief Physician of the City Children’s Clinical Emergency Hospital Akylbek Mamanov told 24.kg news agency.
He noted that a total of 27 children sought medical help, 24 of whom were hospitalized, three were allowed to go home.
«There were four children in intensive care unit. Three recovered senses, they were transferred to the wards. Their condition is satisfactory. One is in serious condition, he is still in a coma. He has a severe brain contusion, fracture of the jaw with displacement and a fracture of the femoral bone with displacement,» Akylbek Mamanov said.
The road accident occurred on Bishkek — Manas airport road on April 20. According to eyewitnesses, the minibus crashed into a bus with children at the moment when it was turning around. The bus overturned.
Ambulance service received a call at 11.15 a.m. Two ambulances were sent to the scene. The victims were initially taken to the City Hospital No. 1. Teams from the Bishkek Emergency Medicine Center were called, who transported the children to the City Children’s Clinical Emergency Hospital.
