Schoolchildren try to stash drugs for 12 million soms in Botanical Garden
Schoolchildren tried to stash drugs in the Botanical Garden in Bishkek. Press center of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) reported.
It turned out that the children are senior students of one of the prestigious schools in Bishkek. During a search, drugs of synthetic origin Alpha PVP with a total weight of 921 grams and 69 packages of 0.4 grams (total weight 27.6 grams) were confiscated from them.
The market price of one gram of the substance is 10,000 soms, one dose is sold in Internet messengers for about 5,000 soms.
It is noted that 921 grams of the seized narcotic substance is about 2,302 doses, in general, the cost of the drugs found reaches 11,857,500 soms.
A criminal case was initiated under article 282 «Illegal manufacture, storage, transportation, transfer for the purpose of sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their analogues on a large scale» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Further, in the process of ongoing investigative activities to identify other members of the drug trafficking group, a 19-year-old resident of the capital was detained.
The detainees were placed in the pre-trial detention center of the SCNS until the end of investigative measures.
In this regard, the SCNS urges parents to be vigilant about their children, take control of their pastime and environment, and conduct appropriate explanatory conversations.
According to the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, persons starting from 14 years old are brought to criminal responsibility for such crimes, which are punishable by from 12 to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.
