International reserves of Kyrgyzstan decrease by $308.39 million in 2023
As a result of March 2023, the gross international reserves of Kyrgyzstan reached $2,489.7 billion. Website of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic says.
Over the past month, the gross international reserves decreased by $55.82 million. Compared to March 2022, the figure decreased by $272.24 million. The highest level of the reserves was registered in September 2021 — $3,241.14 billion.
The National Bank uses the reserves to smooth out sharp fluctuations in the foreign exchange market. The bank has conducted six interventions since the beginning of the year and sold dollars for a total of $307,370 million.
