Kumtor mine to operate for 10 more years, parliamentary commission hopes
Kumtor mine will operate for at least 10 years. The Chairman of the temporary deputy commission on the gold mine, Arslan Maliev, told at a press conference.
He did not name the exact amount of gold at the mine.
«This was not the commission’s task. But now there is an issue of processing the tailings and getting more than 100 tons of gold-bearing ore. In 1993, they said about 736 tons of gold,» he said.
