Depreciation of the Kyrgyz som is expected in 2023. Gulnur Kerimkulova, Senior Economist at the ADB Resident Mission in Kyrgyzstan, said.
According to her, the som will weaken as the Russian ruble falls against the U.S. dollar. At the same time, the National Bank will intervene to restrain sharp fluctuations.
Analysts of the Eurasian Development Bank expect that the exchange rate of the Kyrgyz som will be at the level of 82-84 soms per $1 during this year.
