National Bank enters foreign exchange market with intervention
The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan entered the foreign exchange market with intervention. Official website of the central bank reported.
It is noted that $27.7 million were sold with settlements on the date of the transaction and $17.5 million with settlements different from the date of the transaction. In total, the bank intervened two times in March, during which it sold $80.2 million.
Since the beginning of the year, the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic conducted six interventions to sell dollars for a total of $307,370 million.
Last year, the National Bank conducted 15 interventions, including purchase of dollars on the market seven times. In total, $190,740 million were purchased. At least $419,850 were sold during eight interventions for the sale of foreign currency. Thus, the net sale of dollars in the market amounted to $229,110.
