Loan portfolio in Kyrgyzstan reaches 204.6 billion soms
The volume of the loan portfolio of banking sector customers at the end of February 2023 amounted to 204.6 billion soms. The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan provided such data.
Since the beginning of the year, the indicator has grown by 0.3 percent. Compared to February 2022, it has grown by 11.7 percent, or by 21.5 billion soms.
«The growth of the loan portfolio occurred due to an increase in the volume of loans issued in the national currency (as of the end of February 2023 — 156.7 billion soms) by 27 billion soms. At the same time, the volume of foreign currency loans amounted to 47.9 billion soms and decreased by 5.4 billion soms compared to February 2022,» the National Bank noted.
