Women's employment rate is 1.6 times lower than men's in Kyrgyzstan
The National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan presented a gender overview. It tells about the economic activity of women.
According to the National Statistical Committee, the employment rate of women is 1.6 times lower than that of men. At the same time, there are half as many workers among married women — 42 percent, whereas the share of married working men is 82 percent.
Compared to 2015, the employment rate of women has decreased, while that of men has increased. At the same time, the most significant gap is observed at the age from 25 to 34 years.
