Restoration of Batken: Construction of 86 houses to be completed by end of March
Construction of 86 more houses in Batken will be completed by the end of March. The regional administration reported.
Some 418 houses have been completely destroyed, construction of 332 has been completed. The rest will be transferred to residents by the end of March.
According to the press service of the office of the Presidential Envoy to Batken, the owners of housing in need of repair received 100,000 soms each.
«In total, money was given to 499 citizens for the repair of houses. The total amount was 13,491 million soms,» the officials informed.
Recall, a journalist conducted an investigation on the course of restoration of houses in Batken region, destroyed as a result of Tajikistan’s invasion of Kyrgyzstan in September 2022. The article said that the company that won the construction tender was run by a 20-year-old student with no experience. After the competition, the company was transferred to the management of David Kambarov.
