Kyrgyz artists to present "Groza" play in St. Petersburg
The International Festival Meetings in Russia will start in St. Petersburg on April 7. In 2023, the cultural forum is dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the birth of Alexey Ostrovsky. Kyrgyz artists will present the play «Groza» (Thunderstorm), the organizers report.
«Traditionally, the Meetings in Russia Festival takes place in St. Petersburg in the middle of spring. This year, the theater forum will be held from April 7 to April 16 for the 25th time. Leading theater groups from 10 countries will gather under the roof of the Baltic House: Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Armenia, Turkmenistan, Abkhazia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Belarus and Russia.
The State National Russian Drama Theater named after Chingiz Aitmatov will present a tragedy based on the play by Alexey Ostrovsky «Groza», directed by Nelli Pleshakova.
