Deputy Director of Jalal-Abad sanatorium detained for extortion
The deputy director of Jalal-Abad sanatorium of the Federation of Trade Unions of Kyrgyzstan was detained for systematic extortion from patients. Press center of the State Committee for National Security reported.
The deputy director systematically extorted money from patients for inclusion in the sanatorium book of additional medical procedures, which are actually provided free of charge and are included in the mandatory list of medical procedures of the institution.
A criminal case has been initiated under Article 208 «Extortion» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The detainee was placed in the temporary detention center of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic. An investigation is underway.
