Kyrgyzstan to open direct flights with Azerbaijan
Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan are planning to open direct flights. It was announced at a meeting of the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Bakyt Torobaev with President of the Azerbaijani airline AZAL Jahangir Askerov.
The parties considered the prospects for launching direct flights and air cargo transportation between the capitals of the two states.
Bakyt Torobaev noted that the opening of direct flights between the countries would significantly diversify international flights from Kyrgyzstan and help strengthen ties between entrepreneurs of the two republics.
As a result, the parties agreed to organize a meeting of expert groups in the near future in order to discuss in detail the technical parameters of the issue.
AZAL, Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC is the national airline of the country. It operates regular flights within the republic and to 25 countries of the world.
