Sadyr Japarov offers condolences to head of Greece over train crash
President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov expressed his condolences to the President of Greece Katerina Sakellaropoulou in connection with the numerous casualties as a result of the railway accident. Press service of the head of Kyrgyzstan reported.
«With deep sorrow I received the news of the numerous casualties and great damage suffered as a result of a train collision in Greece on March 1, 2023. On behalf of the Kyrgyz people and on my own behalf, I express my condolences to the families and friends of the victims, I share their grief and wish a speedy recovery to the injured,» the message says.
According to foreign media, 43 people were killed and more than 60 were injured as a result of a collision of freight and passenger trains near Larissa city on the night of March 1.
