Russians detained in Bishkek for planned campaign in support of Ukraine
Police officers detained five Russian citizens, who planned to hold a campaign as a sign of support for Ukraine on the anniversary of the war. A friend of the detainees Stanislav Zakharkin told 24.kg news agency.
«Among them is Julia Kuleshova, an activist from St. Petersburg. She moved to Bishkek in April. She opened a public space «Red Roof» here. They give lectures, hold discussions and so on. This morning, the guys planned to lay flowers in the Oak Park at the sculpture by Sinkevich «Earth is our house» as a tribute to the affected people in Ukraine. But they were detained,» he said.
Own sources informed 24.kg news agency that the detainees are charged with a violation of public order.
