Journalist who reported corruption at Dostuk checkpoint summoned to testify
Shokhrukh Saipov, a journalist who reported bribery at Dostuk checkpoint, was summoned to the Military Prosecutor’s Office of the Osh garrison to give evidence. He announced this on social media.
It should be noted that the correspondent found out that border guards extort money from Uzbeks at the indicated checkpoint. The Border Service launched an internal investigation into the fact. The Military Prosecutor’s Office is conducting a pre-investigation check.
Shokhrukh Saipov told 24.kg news agency that he was in Germany.
«The investigator asked for the phone numbers of those Uzbeks who told about extortion by the border guards on the video. I gave them. I also said that I was abroad,» he explained.
