Meeting of Council of CIS Heads of State to be held in Bishkek on October 13
Meeting of the Council of CIS Heads of State will be held on October 13 in Bishkek. The First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, Asein Isaev, announced at a briefing.
He recalled that the Kyrgyz Republic chairs the CIS in 2023. Therefore, more than 80 events related to the organization are planned during the year. More than ten of them will be held on the territory of the republic.
«Meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers will be held on October 12, and on October 27 — the Council of CIS Heads of Government. Work in the field of the economy will be considered and plans for the next year will be outlined at the level of Heads of Government. During the year, special attention will be paid to the environmental issues. The partners supported our proposal, this issue will be raised at meetings of various levels,» said Asein Isaev.
He recalled that 2023 has been declared the Year of the Russian Language in the CIS. In addition, the 95th anniversary of the writer Chingiz Aitmatov will be celebrated this year. Therefore, the main events will be associated with the promotion of the Russian language and the work of Chingiz Aitmatov.
