UK could increase work quota for labor migrants from Kyrgyzstan
Kyrgyzstan and the UK intend to increase the work quota for labor migrants. Press service of the Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Migration of Kyrgyzstan reported.
A cooperation agreement was reportedly signed between the Director of the Center for Employment of Citizens Abroad under the Ministry of Labor Almaz Alybaev and the head of HOPS Labor Solutions Ltd James Davis.
Labor Minister Kudaibergen Bazarbaev noted that the ministry was interested in partnership with companies that provide legal employment, social guarantees, security, housing and other preferences. He recalled that last year the ministry, having concluded an agreement with Agro HR, sent 1,500 citizens of Kyrgyzstan to agricultural work.
«As part of an agreement with another company, a preliminary selection for employment of 2,000 citizens was carried out. Our today’s agreement will make it possible to increase the quota to 3,000,» the official said.
Kudaibergen Bazarbaev added that the ministry was considering the possibility of employment of Kyrgyzstanis in other areas, such as the service sector, hotel and restaurant business, and tourism.
