Earthquake in Turkey: Interior Ministry hands over 3 tons of humanitarian aid
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan handed over 3 tons of humanitarian aid for victims of the earthquake in Turkey. Blankets, sleeping bags, mats and heaters are prepared for shipment. Press service of the ministry reported.
«With a feeling of deep sorrow, we received the news of the devastating earthquake, which caused numerous casualties and great destruction. We express our condolences to the people of Turkey and wish a speedy recovery to the injured,» the Interior Minister Ulan Niyazbekov said.
The Turkish Embassy in Kyrgyzstan announced collection of humanitarian aid. A single deposit account has been opened in Kyrgyzstan to raise funds to help the victims. The number of victims of earthquakes in Turkey and Syria exceeded 20,000 people.
