Elections of deputies to local councils in 5 regions to cost 18.8 million soms
Election of deputies to rural councils will take place in Naryn, Batken, Osh, Talas and Chui regions on April 9.
The Central Election Commission (CEC) approved the cost estimate for the campaign for a total of 18,874 million soms.
CEC expenses will amount to 12,854 million soms, including funds for centralized purchases for election commissions. Spending of nine territorial election commissions and 52 precinct ones will reach 6,020 million soms.
The election campaign will be held in connection with the expiration of terms of office. Voting is scheduled for April 9.
The CEC was instructed to organize holding of elections, to consider the possibility of testing in a pilot mode of remote, electronic voting.
