ARIS withdraws complaint to Ministry of Culture against Kloop.kg
The Community Development and Investment Agency (ARIS) withdrew the complaint about the material published on Kloop.kg website, where the head of the presidential press service Daiyrbek Orunbekov was mentioned. The media outlet reported.
It noted that the ARIS complaint was withdrawn on the same day it was sent — February 2.
The Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy demanded from Kloop to remove the article about the Community Development and Investment Agency (ARIS), otherwise its website would be blocked. But, since the complaint was withdrawn, the administrative procedure was terminated.
Law of Gulshat Asylbaeva «On inaccurate (false) information» has been applied in Kyrgyzstan not for the first time. Previously, an attempt was made to block 24.kg news agency website. At the end of October 2022, by decision of the Ministry of Culture, the website of Radio Azattyk was blocked. In January 2023, the ministry filed a lawsuit with the Leninsky District Court of Bishkek to terminate the activity of Azattyk Media as a media outlet.
