Gasoline falls in price by 5 soms since beginning of 2023 in Kyrgyzstan
Gasoline has fallen in price by 5 soms since the beginning of the year in Kyrgyzstan. The Antimonopoly Regulation Service reported.
The agency noted that due to the fall in prices in the wholesale segment, there has been a trend towards reduction of prices for fuels and lubricants in the retail sector since the beginning of 2023. The starting point for this is the prices of major market players — dominant subjects, with whom the agency is constantly working.
Thus, since the beginning of the year, the price of AI 92 gasoline fell by 5 soms per 1 liter, of diesel fuel — by 1.2 soms per 1 liter in Bishkek.
The Antimonopoly Service noted that this decrease also influenced the prices of smaller oil traders both in Bishkek and in other regions of the republic.
During February, the price will be further adjusted in stages by major market players downwards. This is taking into account the 1-1.5-month stock of fuel and lubricants, which oil traders must have in order to avoid shortages.
