Active prosthesis for children for the first time produced in Kyrgyzstan
An active prosthesis «Kibi» for children was for the first time made in Kyrgyzstan. The Republican Institution of Prosthetic and Orthopedic Products of the Ministry of Labor of Kyrgyzstan reported.
According to it, the prosthesis was made by the specialists of the institution from the components of Motorika company, a Skolkovo resident.
«Kibi» is a prosthesis with a simple principle of operation that works without electronics and is water resistant. Children should use it from an early age. It’s not just about forming a child’s habit and taking the prosthesis as part of their own body. Upper limb prostheses can not only improve functions, but also prevent unwanted health problems and maintain a constant tone, as well as train the daily routine of children," said Aliza Soltonbekova, director of the institution.
«The specialists and technicians of the institution have undergone special training and have become the holders of certificates for the manufacture of «Kibi» hand and wrist prostheses,» representatives of the republican institution added.
