SCNS detains former member of Board of National Bank
Employees of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) detained a former member of the Board of the National Bank. Press center of the SCNS reported.
According to it, manifestations of corruption, which caused damage to the state on an especially large scale, were revealed in the activities of responsible employees of Keremet Bank OJSC and officials of the National Bank.
According to the SCNS, the suspects illegally invested more than 8 billion soms from the state budget in Keremet Bank OJSC (formerly Rosinbank), while its activities were unprofitable, and the lost profit and damage to the state previously amounted to more than 4.5 billion.
A criminal case has been opened. Taking into account the evidence obtained in the case, the former curator of the supervisory unit, a member of the Board of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic, was detained. He was placed in the temporary detention center of the SCNS.
The investigation continues.
