Vocational schools to include protection of migrants’ rights topic in curriculum
Vocational schools of Kyrgyzstan will introduce topics on the protection of the rights of migrants into the educational process. Press service of the Ministry of Education and Science reported.
The ministry, together with the solidarity center, held workshops for deputy directors of 92 vocational schools of the republic.
«Their participants received knowledge about the educational module on safe, responsible migration and combating human trafficking, approved by the Ministry of Education and Science. It is planned that they will introduce the following topics into the educational process of vocational schools: preparation for migration, employment and protection of the labor rights of migrants, human trafficking and forced labor, forms of child labor and violent extremism,» the ministry said.
