Mobile application for teenage girls launched in Kyrgyzstan
Oku mobile application for teenage girls about their growing-up and health was for the first time launched in Kyrgyzstan. Open Line Foundation reported.
The organization, in partnership with UNICEF, localized and finalized a mobile app for teenage girls to track and manage their menstrual cycle. It already operates in 13 countries around the world.
Oku is an innovative solution that helps eliminate taboos, stigma, dispels myths and misconceptions about the menstrual cycle, and fills the gap in quality information related to girls’ reproductive health. This will allow girls who use the application to reduce the risks to their health and receive reliable answers to their questions," the Foundation noted. The application can be downloaded from Play Market and AppStore.
