Temir Sariev tells about barriers for business of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan
There are barriers and obstacles that hinder the realization of opportunities for entrepreneurs in Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. Temir Sariev, head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kyrgyzstan, told about this at the Kyrgyz-Uzbek Business Forum.
According to him, there are not enough checkpoints between the countries in the border areas. There are questions about their technical equipping. In addition, it is necessary to resolve the issue of green corridors for the delivery of perishable products, create a trade and logistics hub and integrate electronic systems for veterinary documentation. Temir Sariev also called for an increase in the frequency of flights between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
«Business is ready to work together with the government agencies of the two countries to resolve existing issues. We have a great potential for cooperation in the creation of various cluster associations in the field of agriculture, in industrial cooperation, in the creation of new joint tourist packages and cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian sphere. The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kyrgyzstan finds full understanding and support from our colleagues and friends from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan. A Business Council has been created — this is a platform for an active dialogue between the businesses of the two countries, promoting mutual interests and projects. The main goal is the correct use of the potential of the Uzbek economy, the investment opportunities of this country,» Temir Sariev concluded.
