Trade Unions Federation plans to renovate health resorts with help of investors
The Federation of Trade Unions of Kyrgyzstan plans to renovate its rest houses, sanatoriums and health resorts. Kanatbek Osmonov, Chairman of the Real Estate Commission of the Federation, announced at a press conference.
He recalled that one of the functions of trade unions is the health improvement and recreation of workers and their families. «It is the state duty, but is entrusted to public organizations — trade unions, since they have a base — sanatoriums, rest homes, children’s camps, and so on,» Kanatbek Osmonov said.
He added that the state of recreation and health facilities to date does not meet modern requirements and capital investments are needed. However, the own funds of public organizations are not enough.
«Trade unions see a way out — modernization by attracting investment. In this regard, they work closely with the Tourism Support and Development Fund. We hope that investments will be attracted in the near future,» Kanatbek Osmonov concluded.
