Russia intends to participate in construction of Kambarata HPP-1
Russia wants to participate in the construction of Kambarata HPP-1. Energy Minister of Kyrgyzstan Taalaibek Ibraev announced at a meeting of the parliamentary committee on fuel and energy complex, subsoil use and industrial policy.
According to him, the state is starting a mega-project to build the hydroelectric power plant, which in the future will be able to generate 1,860 megawatts of power.
«If the hydroelectric power plant is built, we will use it ourselves. The participants will get as much electricity as they invested in the construction. Russia also wants to join and finance,» said Taalaibek Ibraev.
On January 6, the Ministers of Energy of Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan signed a roadmap for implementation of the project on construction of Kambarata HPP-1.
