Detained for extortion SCNS investigator taken into custody for two months
An investigator of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS), detained in Osh for taking a bribe, was taken into custody. The Bishkek City Court informed 24.kg news agency.
The decision was made by the Oktyabrsky District Court of Bishkek.
«The petition of the investigator of the Prosecutor General’s Office has been granted. A measure of restraint in the form of detention until March 19 was applied to the man. He will be kept in the SCNS remand center,» the court reported.
Searches were carried out on January 20 in the building of the SCNS department in the southern capital. The Prosecutor General’s Office announced detention of the investigator of the main department. He is suspected of extorting $20,000. A criminal case has been initiated.
