Kolbaev tunnel on Too-Ashuu pass to be repaired
Minister of Transport and Communications of Kyrgyzstan Tilek Tekebaev got acquainted with the condition of the tunnel on Too-Ashuu pass, located on Bishkek — Osh highway. Press service of the ministry reported.
The tunnel named after Kusain Kolbaev was built in 1962 and was last reconstructed in 2000. The lighting inside it is weak, barely working, and the condition of the road is bad.
Therefore, Tilek Tekebaev ordered to improve the lighting inside the tunnel and start asphalting the section of the road inside it in the spring. He stressed that the repair of the tunnel, which is of strategic importance, must comply with international standards.
