Buses for Bishkek: City Hall to resume work with Beles company
The Bishkek City Hall will resume work with the domestic bus manufacturer Beles KG LLC. Press service of the City Hall reported.
A meeting with the director of the company is planned for January 18. «After the successful completion of testing of the bus, the Department of Transport will resume work on the purchase of buses from Beles KG LLC,» the City Hall said.
The City Hall recalled that the Department of Transport and Beles KG LLC signed a memorandum of intent on June 16, 2022. Then the issue of providing one bus for temporary testing was raised.
In mid-February 2022, the President visited Beles enterprise. Then Sadyr Japarov said that in order to support domestic manufacturers, the state would purchase an initial batch of 10 buses produced at the enterprise. In case of their successful operation, the issue of close cooperation with the plant on an ongoing basis will be considered.
In 2022, 1 billion soms were allocated from the city budget for the purchase of buses. The City Hall purchased them from Zhongtong Bus Hoiding Co., Ltd. To date, the first batch of 20 buses has arrived in Bishkek.
