Interior Ministry plans to toughen punishment for organized crime group members
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan intends to amend the criminal law in terms of toughening punishment for members of organized crime groups. The Deputy Interior Minister Nurbek Abdiev told at a press conference.
According to him, 157 members of the organized criminal groups were brought to criminal responsibility in 2022. Two people of them were detained for murder, two more — for causing bodily harm.
«Five facts of robbery with violence, 5 kidnappings, 11 cases of extortion, 49 fraud cases and 10 cases of theft were registered. The suspects were brought to criminal responsibility on all the revealed facts,» Nurbek Abdiev said.
