Rosselkhoznadzor bans import of 22 tons of walnuts from Kyrgyzstan
Employees of Rosselkhoznadzor for Orenburg Oblast of the Russian Federation have carried out quarantine control in relation to 2,113 tons of imported quarantineable products since the beginning of January 2023 at checkpoints, at phytosanitary posts, temporary storage warehouses, as well as at delivery points.
According to the agency, the products came from Kazakhstan, China, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. The volume increased by 49 percent compared to the same period last year. The main part was vegetables (1,148.2 tons) and fruits (943.1 tons).
About 2,091.3 tons of regulated products were released into free circulation for further sale in Russia.
Import of 22 tons of walnuts from the Kyrgyz Republic into Russia was banned because of the invalid phytosanitary certificate.
