MP proposes to build rehabilitation centers in Bishkek and Osh
There is not a single state rehabilitation center in Kyrgyzstan, MP Nurzhigit Kadyrbekov said at a parliamentary meeting on Thursday.
According to him, the number of children suffering from cerebral palsy and autism is growing. They need modern rehabilitation services.
«Rehabilitation is not an easy process. There are private centers in the country, where rehabilitation costs 39,000 soms, while the allowance for a child with a disability is 8,000 soms. Should they be treated or live on this money? We need to build rehabilitation centers in Bishkek and Osh. Autism is listed as an incurable disease in the protocols of the Ministry of Health, but the opposite has been scientifically proven — children with such a diagnosis can be cured,» the deputy said.
