Kyrgyzstan takes 2nd place in EAEU in terms of price increase
Inflation in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) in November amounted to 12 percent compared to December 2021. The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) provided such data.
At the same time, the highest price increase rates were registered in Kazakhstan (18.9 percent), Kyrgyzstan (13.5 percent) and Belarus (12.4 percent). Compared to December 2021, the EAEU showed a significant increase in prices for non-food products (by 13.1 percent). Prices for food products during this period increased by 11.4 percent, for paid services — by 10.9 percent.
Higher than in EAEU increase in food prices was registered in Kazakhstan (by 23.4 percent), Kyrgyzstan (by 15.8 percent) and Belarus (by 13 percent). The largest increase in prices for non-food products was registered in Kazakhstan (by 17.8 percent) and Belarus (by 14.2 percent), for paid services — in Kazakhstan (by 13.5 percent).
In November, compared to October, prices for goods and services increased by 0.4 percent. At the same time, inflation reached 1.4 percent in Kazakhstan, 1.3 percent — in Kyrgyzstan and 1.1 percent — in Armenia.
