EAEU compiles list of medicines essential for member states
A list of medicines has been compiled, the production of which is recommended to be ensured in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) reported.
According to it, the Board approved a recommendation on the list of medicines and pharmaceutical substances for medical use, the production of which is recommended to be ensured in the EAEU until 2024.
«Given the current tough economic realities, we expect that this list will become the starting point for ensuring the drug safety of the EAEU,» said Artak Kamalyan, Minister in charge of Industry and Agro-Industrial Complex of the EEC.
In addition to the formation of the list, it is also planned to study the issue of organizing joint production of vaccines, prepare proposals for financing cooperative projects in the production of medicines and pharmaceutical substances, study the application of customs and tariff regulation measures and a number of other activities.
