National Bank of Kyrgyzstan conducts largest intervention in 2022
Due to a sharp appreciation of the U.S. dollar, the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan conducted an intervention for the second time in a month. Official website of the bank reports.
It sold $2 million with settlements on the date of the transaction and $85.5 million with settlements other than the date of the transaction. This is the largest volume of dollar sales since the beginning of the year.
At the same time, the dollar exchange rate remains high. Exchange offices in the capital and commercial banks buy the American currency for 85.7-85.8 soms, and sell for 86.5-86.7 soms. The official exchange rate is 85.67 soms (0.85 percent growth).
