Ex-Vice Mayor of Bishkek Alimbek Abdyldaev suspected of corruption
The former vice mayor of Bishkek was detained. Press center of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) reported.
According to the state committee, corruption mechanisms were revealed in Bishkekteploenergo and Bishkeksvet municipal enterprises.
«From 2019 to 2021, management of Bishkeksvet organized a systematic illegal withdrawal and embezzlement of the enterprise’s budget funds on an especially large scale. In particular, a major overhaul of buildings and facilities of Bishkeksvet municipal enterprise was carried out without the availability of approved and legal sources of financing by artificially overestimating the expenditures. In addition, the fact of the theft of fixed assets (chimney) of the enterprise worth about 2,300,000 soms was revealed,» the statement says.
In 2016-2019, as a result of unlawful actions of the management of Bishkekteploenergo, when issuing permits and connecting construction sites to the heating networks, the interests of the company were damaged in the amount of 31 million soms.
The former official was detained and placed in the temporary detention center of the State Committee for National Security on December 15. An investigation is underway.
