Regime of stay in Russia to be simplified for migrants from EAEU
Regime of stay in Russia will be simplified for migrants from the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). Corresponding changes were made to the agreement on the EAEU. The law on the ratification of the relevant protocol was adopted by the State Duma, Parliamentary newspaper reports.
Deputy Minister of Economic Development Dmitry Volvach noted that the protocol contains 137 amendments. According to him, the regime of stay and professional activities will be simplified for migrants, and the administrative burden on business will also be reduced.
It is planned to recognize documents on qualifications in the field of pedagogical and legal activities, academic degrees and titles.
Working migrants will be able to change the purpose of entry without leaving the territory of the state of employment.
Dmitry Volvach specified that these changes would affect more than 1.5 million migrants from the EAEU countries working in Russia. The document will also clarify the rules on customs control and the fight against tax evasion.
The Eurasian Economic Union includes Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
