Armenia calls for flexibility to create common EAEU gas market
«Formation of a common gas market remains a sensitive issue for us,» the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan said at a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in an expanded format in Bishkek.
According to him, the countries of the Union managed to ensure a high degree of readiness of the draft international agreement on the formation of a common gas market. But a number of unresolved issues remain.
«We are ready to show flexibility in order to reach a consensus when all states receive benefits from the EAEU common gas market,» Nikol Pashinyan noted.
He also stressed that in recent years, the economic development of the Eurasian Economic Union has been taking place in difficult conditions. He urged to concentrate efforts to maximize the effect of Eurasian integration, taking into account the national priorities of social and economic development.
«The EAEU countries are launching a new mechanism for financial support of industrial cooperation. I am convinced that this financing instrument will contribute to the technological development of our states,» Nikol Pashinyan concluded.
