President creates working group to check Prosecutor General's Office
The President of Kyrgyzstan created a working group to check the actions of the Prosecutor General’s Office in relation to a number of deputies. Speaker Nurlanbek Shakiev announced at a meeting of the Parliament.
He recalled that his colleagues — Shailoobek Atazov and Jenishbek Toktorbaev announced pressure by the supervisory authority.
«President Sadyr Japarov, after the appeal of the parliament deputies, created a working group. This group will check the actions of the Prosecutor General’s Office within a week. The conclusion will be submitted to the President,» said Nurlanbek Shakiev.
Earlier, MP Jenishbek Toktorbaev suggested creating a commission to check the work of the Prosecutor General’s Office. According to him, by summoning his colleagues for interrogation, it violated Article 78 of the Constitution, Article 137 of the Regulations of the Parliament and Article 24 of the law on the status of deputies.
