Chairman of Cabinet urges to support small and medium-sized businesses
«We must continue to actively support, invest and strengthen the activities of small and medium-sized businesses, strengthen mutual industrial cooperation,» Akylbek Japarov, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, said today at the Bishkek Investment Summit.
According to him, over the past five years, the share of small and medium-sized businesses in new investment projects has decreased from 5.7 to 1.3 percent. He stressed that the sustainable development of the economy of each country depends on many factors, but the most important among them is the development of small and medium-sized businesses and the export orientation of their products.
«The activities of small and medium-sized businesses are always consumer-oriented and always rush to where demand arises. Due to their mobility, flexibility, innovative approach, small and medium-sized enterprises are able to quickly adapt to various changes, quickly produce new products,» Akylbek Japarov said.
«It is necessary to achieve an increase in labor productivity, an increase in the volume and complexity of exports, development of new production facilities of higher value-added products with the necessary level of state support for the implementation of high-tech capital-intensive projects where there is a lack of private capital. To this end, the Cabinet of Ministers has adopted all the necessary documents. The Ministry of Finance is ready to lend a shoulder and support business through various tools,» he concluded.
